Guide 01
How To Choose A Surgeon
Board certified in plastic surgery, not just "board certified." Operates in an accredited facility. Shows you results on bodies like yours. Has a real answer for who you call at 2 a.m. Everything else is marketing.Guide 02
How To Interview Your Surgeon
You are the one hiring. Ask how many of this exact procedure they did last year. Ask who handles complications and how fast. Ask what they would not do on your body. A good surgeon likes these questions. A salesperson does not.
Guide 03
Questions To Ask At Your Consult
Which technique, and why for me?
Where will my surgery happen, and who gives anesthesia?
What is your revision policy?
What does week one actually look like?
What is the total cost, with nothing left out?
Who do I call if something feels wrong?Guide 04
Plan Your Recovery At Home
Set up the room before surgery, not after. A recliner or a wedge. Everything within arm's reach. Someone with you for the first 72 hours. Meals made. Two weeks cleared. If that is not possible at home, that is what a recovery house is for.
Guide 05
What To Buy Before Surgery
Wedge pillow. Button-front tops. Stool softener. Your garment, plus one spare. Arnica for bruising. Loose shoes. Wipes and dry shampoo. A long phone cable. The procedure-specific lists live on each procedure page.Guide 06
Mental Prep
Decide who you tell and what you tell them. Expect day five to feel like a mistake; it is swelling and anesthesia leaving your body, not the truth. Write down why you did this, and read it then.
